1st impression

Man it's been a busy couple of days and I'm fricking tired. LA traffic ain't no hoe, I spent about 3 hours total in the car today. Anyway that's besides the point, I had a session with Mann the artist from Def Jam and was able to hear his music, and I was impressed. The kid is only 18 but he got some joints from pop to big soulful records. I think even khalil was surprised at that because he pulled out a couple of jewels that we weren't going to show. We played about 15 joints he was feeling most of them and I could tell by the way he would start rapping to himself, or coming up with melody's. FYI I've never seen a rapper hum to beats but I can tell dude must learn how to make them hits over at JR's spot (J R Rotem). Overall it went good I'm looking to make some good music wit dude, he really liked the beat where I played the drums on. We made him a cd so he's going to write to them and we'll go from there.

It's a Mann world!

On Saturday I have a session with an artist who just got signed to Def Jam by the name of Mann. I'm excited about this session for a couple of different reasons, one because he hasen't had a record out yet so there SHOULDN'T be an ego involved lol and two because he has cross over music. He's not trying be an extra tough guy, So I feel like we can just make some good music together. I already have a folder set aside with 10 joints for him then I have my mixing session on friday so I can get them sounding good.
